Smart HDD looks like a real legitimate anti spyware but in reality it is not. It belongs to the family of rogue anti spywares. Users need to be extra careful from these rogue applications because they are designed with such sophistication that they look like a well-developed high class application – but this is just a trap. Like many other malicious applications, the main goal of Smart HDD is to gain all the money from the users by using any method they can. The Smart HDD enters illegally into user’s computer system and installs itself without your permission. It then informs the users that there are various malfunctions and viruses in the computer system which should be cleaned instantly. The user believing the reports generated by the Smart HDD asks the rogue program to clean the viruses; the Smart HDD now asks for the up gradation which costs a handsome amount of money.
