Start the System in Safe Mode

The actual manual removal process starts once you start operating your computer in the safe mode after terminating the normal mode of operation. In this regard, you need to restart the computer, and use the F8 key to access the boot options menu. Select the safe mode and press the Enter key.

Kill the Associated Processes

After start using the computer in the safe mode, you have to open the windows task manager by using the Ctrl+Alt+Delete keys and select the processes tab where all the running processes are visible. You have to remove the following associated processes of the KINS virus:-

  • %AppData%\[RANDOM CHARACTERS]\[RANDOM CHARACTERS].exe

Delete the Associated Files

  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\KINS\UninstallString “%AppData%[RANDOM CHARACTERS][RANDOM CHARACTERS].exe” -u
  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce\[RANDOM CHARACTERS] %AppData%\[RANDOM CHARACTERS]\[RANDOM CHARACTERS].exe
  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\KINS\ShortcutPath “%AppData%\[RANDOM CHARACTERS]\[RANDOM CHARACTERS].exe” -u
  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\KINS\DisplayName KINS
