The is a recent variation of wisely designed, advanced level adware infections that are capable of stealing the most precious information from the targeted computers, including the credit card numbers, bank account credentials, emails, passwords, and browsing preferences. This malicious application spreads through free updates of the important software, and visiting compromised web pages. Once this infections slips inside the system, it start showing fake pop-up updates which states that one of your important program required to be updated. When you try to download the update, you actually invite this dangerous adware to make its way inside your system. This nasty computer worm removes the important system files, and makes the computer extremely slow. When you try to surf on the web, you will be unable to open the desired websites. This adware can harm the system in multiple ways, and considered as a high risk for the security of your data.


Removal pop-up

Once, the pop-up adware infection slips in the system, your goal is to remove this malicious application as soon as possible. You have to remove this infection in a way that it will never return to the system. This can be done with the help of any powerful automatic removal tool. Change the Mode of Operation from Normal to Safe Mode

Before doing anything else, you have to access the computer in the safe mode. Restart the system, and access the boot options by using the F8 key. Select the safe mode option through arrow keys and access the computer in the safe mode.
End the Malicious Processes

Reverse the Modification in the Windows Registry

In the final step, you need to normalize the windows registry by removing the modifications made by this infection. Open the registry editor by running the RegEdit command in the Start menu. Once the registry editor is accessed, remove the following associated entries of the pop-up:-

  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\ pop-up\DisplayIcon %AppData%\[RANDOM CHARACTERS]\[RANDOM CHARACTERS].exe,0
  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\ pop-up
  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\ pop-up \UninstallString “%AppData%[RANDOM CHARACTERS][RANDOM CHARACTERS].exe” -u
  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce\[RANDOM CHARACTERS] %AppData%\[RANDOM CHARACTERS]\[RANDOM CHARACTERS].exe
  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\ pop-up\ShortcutPath “%AppData%\[RANDOM CHARACTERS]\[RANDOM CHARACTERS].exe”
  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\ pop-up\ pop-up

Access the system in the normal mode, and make sure you have deleted the completely. You have to run a complete system scan through an updated version of any reliable antivirus program in order to remove any infections caused by the pop-up.
