The Http:// is a malicious browser hijacker program that sneaks in the windows based computers secretly and take complete control of the browsing activities of the user.  This tricky browser hijacker can infect all the major browser including the Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox. The Manual Removal of Http://

There are both manual as well as automatic methods available through which you can remove this virus. The manual removal of the Http:// is not an easy task and contains several steps that are described below:-

Change the Mode of Operation from Normal to Safe Mode

The actual process of removal of this browser hijacker starts after you reboot the system in the safe mode. In this regard, you simply have to restart the PC, use the F8 key repeatedly to see the boot options, and select the safe mode from the list to start the system in the safe mode.

End the Malicious Processes

The next step of this process is removing the associated processes of the Http:// infection. You have to access the windows task manager with the help of Ctrl+Alt+Delete keys, and select the processes tab in the task manager window. Remove the following processes from the list:-

After removing the corrupt processes, you have t open the system files folder and delete the following files with the help of Delete key:-

Reverse the Modification in the Windows Registry

  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Http://\ShortcutPath “%AppData%\[RANDOM CHARACTERS]\[RANDOM CHARACTERS].exe” -u
  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Http://\DisplayName Http://
